THE RETURN OF THE DRAGONCREW

I’ve just gotten off the 18 hour return train journey, but almost everything you need to know is in here. I’ll be back tomorrow with a written report.

Thank you to Scott for providing so much footage. I was, of course, fighting crime much of the time.

Also, thanks to E. Lockhart for giving the scoop on the making of John’s birthday video.

Those are some hot boots, Maureen. Seriously. I want those boots. They did...they fit you perfectly! And Theo does have some pretty amazing skills, even if he almost killed you, Maureen.

Looks like it was amazing good fun! (And I had to giggle when I saw Justine duck out of the camera. :))

Wow.
Loved the video, but it showed EVERY reason why I won't go to anything ending in 'Con.'
And the costume was so awesome! Especially the boots_.

That looks like it was a lot of fun. :) I loved the dancing Whomping Willow. Jack Skellington was there too! Woot!

Your costume was awesome, by the way. I love those boots!

BOOT ENVY!

Excellent job on the video. Looks like you all had a great time. Nice swordwork, too! If you ever want to learn how to scoop a rapier up with your foot and catch it in mid-air, I'm your girl. Mind you, there's a chance it may go flying off and nearly hit someone, but what are the odds of that happening?

oh. yeah.

hee!

Wow. I was at the same hotel and conference center for a very different type of conference years ago (Chemistry). It would have been much more interesting to see folks walking around like that! Or least dressing up as their favorite molecule.

You look hot.
But I wanted to read YOUR version of the video production. Please do not let me stop you. I know all your readers want to read your version as well.

Congratulations, Maureen! I now want to be Wonder Woman for Halloween. What shoe size are you? Perhaps we could make a deal?

Also, Pennsylvania is not hell. The Pennsylvania Turnpike, on the other hand, is.

E. Lockhart: Maureen's version will be full of LIES. Like the one she told about editing me out of the video.

Awesome vid, Maureen. More please!

I got the giggles.

And my sister was disappointed to see that you went with Hippolyta-WW rather than Diana-WW, but then I pointed out to her that few self-respecting women would wear starry blue panties and nothing else below at a con.

I totally agree with E. Lockhart! i would like to hear your version of the story!!! BTW-AMAZING BOOTS!!! um, i have a question: what exactly IS DragonCon? i've heard of it, just never really understood the full concept--in other words, i have no idea what it is.

Great video! Wished I could have been there. The Wonder Woman costume was fantastic! Good thing you could dodge Theo's flying sword with your super human powers. It could have ended in tears.

Wish I could have been there. I was so close, yet so far away. *tear*

Nice costume. I friggin' love your boots. I don't have anything insightful to say today, isn't that depressing since my head is so full of useless knowledge?

Hilarious video! But what about your version of the B-day video events. Your style (in both boots and the recounting of stories) is needed. Please tell!

Maureen...

This is Lydia (aka Lil) from the YA track and I just wanted to thank you so much for coming to D*Con this year! Even though you may have only written one fantasy book, you had some wonderful thoughts and ideas. I think just a wee bit more qualified than certain other media writers....
;-)

Any way, thanks for all your input and for you different view of things. Keep up with the great "expanding pants" section. :-D You've really made me want to dive into more books like that, especially yours. (cause admittedly, I hadn't read any of yours yet!)

All the best...
